Welcome to Translucence! We are a semi-realistic wolf role-playing game, taking place in uncultivated wilderness, thousands of miles away from human contact. As staff, we'll try the best we can to make you feel at home. If you have a question or concern, feel free to message one of the administrators, Daze or Thunder, and they will be happy to answer it for you. :D We do hope that you join us, just make sure to read the rules/plot first. ;)

Congratulations Hayley! You are the MOTM because of your dedication to the site of Translucence. Your wolves are well-good, and you are friendly and polite to everyone. Most of all you know how to have fun! Well Done again!
Wolf of the Month U-Kiss
This wolf just seems to be brimming with awesomeness! Her kindness and consideration towards most wolves is easy to see, and she is an excellent hunter for her own pack in Lake Shartel. She is roleplayed by our wonderful Lithium. Well Done to both of you!
Every forum will eventually, at one point, get flooded with posts, and when they "die", meaning no one has/will reply, they are sent here and locked. If you see a post you are a part of that you want returned to its rightful place, message a staff member and we will move it for you.
Here is where all characters are moved once approved by the alpha of the pack you want to join or one of the head alphas. Check here to see if your character has been approved, see taken names, or to view a character's profile
Want to see the open ranks in a pack? How about posting a more in-depth profile of your wolf? Also feel free to advertise if you are in a pack and are looking for someone to fill a position.
Lamese Forest covers the majority of the Devout's territory, and is where their royal monarch family dwells. All other territories on this side are located within the forest, making the royals an easy target. That is, if someone could even find anyone within this many acres of land. Guards are on duty to protect the royals, and many keep a careful eye on their precious leaders.
Lake Shartel is a clean, pure, gleaming body of water located within a moderate forest. Its waters are cool and crisp, and the area around it is streaming with wildlife, and plenty of food. Tall trees surround it's banks, and makes it a hard place to find if you don't know where to look, which can come in handy against enemy attacks.
Maret Cove is hidden right behind a waterfall, and is impossible to get to unless you aren't afraid to get a little wet. Very few know of its whereabouts, and it can get a little chilly and damp at night.
Xykin Caverns is a dark, underground set of mini-caves that form a maze, perfect for any truly Corrupt wolf. The lack of light trains their eyes to adjust to darkness, making future night attacks easier. The set of mini-caves within it gives each family member in the pack their own individual shelter, with a large cave right in the center, making it perfect for meetings.
Rahan Meadows is a nightmare waiting to happen. It grasses and shrubs are dry and dead, and it has an eerie silence to it, with the only sound made being the crackling of dead foliage underneath one's paws. Legend has it that being here alone will bring back your greatest fears and memorie. Although the Corrupt find it a comfortably dainty place to live...
Long ago, humans voyaging across the seas lost control of their vessel, and ended up in these parts. The little blunder the crewmates made cost all the humans their life, and their skeletons can still be found on board the large ship. It is located on the shoreline, and the many rooms provide a home for any wolf that proves himself worthy enough to join this pack.
All unclaimable lands will be located as a sub-board in here.

Year 4 Next Season Winter; Seasons have stopped until activity begins again
Current Weather Well, it's easy to see that Fall has arrived with a bang! All around Translucence, signs of season change can be seen - the leaves begin to turn colourful shades, their beauty hiding the hardship of Winter to come. Temperatures are dropping slowly, and though still warm in the daytime, night degrees are beginning to drop below zero. Large herds are migrating from the territories, except from the Peak, where the shelter provides lush grass. Wolf packs had better prepare for the dark hours to come.
01/19/09 First off I want to wish all you role-players a very happy New Year! It's a little bit late, that's for sure, but I hope the new year brings back muse, plots, and activity! I've noticed a down-turn in activity as of late, so I decided to update this so people can find a nice new thing to read! I hope Thump and Daze don't mind me doing this. Anyway, mini-plots are always great to have and set up, so if your wolf needs a loverly new mate, or friend, or...whatever else mini-plots have, start one up! Get this place going again! Come on guys, we can do it! The Plot!
Your friendly neighbourhood pal,
Xann <333
